Terms of Service
Last updated October 14, 2026
The agreement between you and SLP Daybook. Written to be read rather than skipped, because the people who use this are responsible for children's records and deserve to know where they stand.
This is a draft. It describes accurately what the app does today, but it has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. If you are deciding whether your district can use SLP Daybook, write to [YOUR SUPPORT EMAIL] and we will answer anything this does not.
What this is
SLP Daybook is a record-keeping tool for speech-language pathologists working in schools. It holds a caseload, takes session data, tracks service minutes and due dates, and produces notes and reports from what has been entered.
It is a place to keep your work. It does not make clinical decisions, it does not decide eligibility, and it does not tell you whether a student has met a goal. Everything it produces is a draft for a qualified professional to read, change and sign. The judgment is yours, and so is the responsibility for what goes in a student's file.
Who may use it
Accounts are for practicing speech-language pathologists, and for the graduate clinicians and assistants a supervising SLP is responsible for.
By creating an account you confirm that your employer or district permits you to use a tool like this for student information, and that you will follow their policies and the law — FERPA, your state's rules, and your own professional obligations — in what you enter and what you do with what comes out.
One account is for one person. Do not share a login. If somebody else needs access, they need their own account.
Your information, and your students'
You keep every right in what you put into the app. We claim nothing in your notes, your reports, your lesson plans or your students' records.
You are responsible for what you enter being accurate, and for only entering what you are permitted to. The Privacy Policy sets out what we do with it, which is to run this service and nothing else.
Paying for it
There is a free trial. After that the subscription renews automatically at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel.
Cancel any time from Account settings. Canceling stops the next charge and leaves access running to the end of the period already paid for. We do not pro-rate part of a period.
Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store a card number.
If the price changes we will tell existing subscribers by email before it applies to them.
What you agree not to do
- Enter student information you are not authorized to hold.
- Share your login, or use somebody else's.
- Try to reach another account's data, or to probe the service for weaknesses without asking us first.
- Resell the service or present it as your own product.
- Use it to store information that does not belong in it — records for a job this tool is not for.
If you believe you have found a security problem, please write to [YOUR SUPPORT EMAIL] before doing anything else with it. We will take it seriously and we will not come after anybody for reporting one in good faith.
What we do not promise
We work hard to keep the service running and your data intact, and we are not going to promise perfection in a document you might one day need.
The service is provided as it is. We do not guarantee it will be available at a particular moment, that it will never lose anything, or that it will suit a particular district's requirements. We take backups; you should take your own exports of anything you could not bear to lose, and keep whatever records your district requires you to keep independently of us.
Nothing in this section limits anything the law does not let us limit.
If something goes wrong
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim connected with the service is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
We say this plainly because the alternative is a page of capital letters saying the same thing less clearly. It is the normal limit for a subscription of this size, and it is not a license for us to be careless with a child's record.
Ending it
You can close your account at any time from Account settings. That deletes everything in it, permanently and immediately.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that is being used in a way that puts student information at risk. Except where something urgent makes it impossible, we will tell you first and give you a chance to export your data.
Changes, law, and how to reach us
If these terms change materially we will tell account holders by email before the change takes effect.
These terms are governed by the laws of [YOUR STATE].
